On February 22, 2004 Kairos members Warner Andrada, Agoy and Janette Descallar and Roy and Malee San Buenaventura and their kids went to Sitio Macaingalan of Barangay Puray, a part of the Saint Raphael Archangel Parish. Through the invitation of Father Teo, the mission of the group is to see whether Kairos members can assist the formation work in the area.

Macaingalan lies on the boundary of Rodriguez, Rizal and San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. It is a two- hour drive from Rodriguez poblacion along a feeder road traversing six mountain peaks. The breathtaking view of the Sierra Madre range evoked images of the historic trek of brave Katipuneros along these mountains.

Arriving at the Sitio site, we were met with the warm welcome of the Catholic community there who looks forward to the monthly celebration of the Holy Eucharist. We left Macaingalan, promising to come back with Father Teo on his next visit, and with plans to hold catechism for children and prayer meetings for the older ones.
